Hello Main Street Family,

Our students are continuing to complete assessments that help us identify their instructional needs. Please encourage your child to take their time and do their best. We are so proud of how hard our scholars have been working! They have already mastered their daily routines and are showing great effort each day. Assessments will continue this week.

Attendance Matters
Only 69% of our students have attended school 90% or more this year—which means they have missed just one day or less. Our goal is for 80% of our students to reach this level of attendance. Please ensure your child arrives on time each morning and avoid early dismissals whenever possible. Every minute of instruction counts, and together we can set every child up for success!

💧 Water Bottles
Please send your child with a refillable water bottle daily. While we do not have water fountains in the building, students are able to refill bottles throughout the day.

Arrival & Dismissal Safety
To keep our drop-off and pick-up procedures safe and efficient, please do not leave your car in the line or make U-turns. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.

Label Belongings
As we enter the fall season, please label your child’s clothing, bookbags, and lunch boxes. This makes it much easier to return lost items to their owners.

PBIS House Reveal & Kick-Off Party – Tuesday!
On Tuesday, we will celebrate our PBIS House Reveal and Kick-Off Party! Students may wear jeans with their house colors or school colors. New students will discover their house assignments during the program and may wear school-colored shorts.

Dad, Walk Your Children to School Day – Wednesday, October 1st
The men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Epsilon Pi Chapter will once again host Dad, Walk Your Children to School Day on Wednesday, October 1st at 8:30 AM. Fathers are invited to join us for this special event, which will include coffee and donuts. We look forward to seeing our dads walking their children into school!

Fundraising for Breast Cancer Awareness & Pretzel Sales

  • Lollipop Sales start Wednesday, October 1st to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Lollipops are 2 for $1.

  • Pretzel Sales will begin this week. Pretzels are $1 each. Please bring in your money by Wednesday to receive your pretzels on Thursday.

Thank you for your continued partnership in making this a successful school year for every student!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

With gratitude,
Ms. Darnell Medley
