AP EXAMS

Pay for your AP Exams NOW!

Students may now register and pay for their AP Exams in Total Registration. Students must create an account with TR if this is their first time using TR. Students who have a TR account must log into their previous accounts. If students need help with logging in, they can use TR's login assistance. Students have until March 6th to register and pay for their AP exams. Students seeking financial assistance can request support by following the prompts in TR as they are registering. After the March 6th deadline, students will incur a late fee of $45 (per AP exam), imposed by the College Board and it is not able to be waived, even with financial assistance.

Rally Opt Out - Reservation for Quiet Room

The next school rally is Friday, January 23rd. If a student does not want to attend the rally, they may instead go to the rally quiet room. Please complete the form on this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/13Bt-Q45_zmk3h7DpgPogW4AhSp2OzrpEyrt-YvTeoE8/edit

Students who want to go to the quiet room instead of the rally need to RVSP by 3pm on January 22nd. Those students who RSVP by the deadline may take their backpacks, but cell phones need to stay put away. Students will receive a pass to their 2nd period class which will be their ticket to bring their belongings to the cafeteria. Please show this to your teacher so he/she will allow you to take your things with you to the cafeteria. Students who do not complete the RSVP may still go to the cafeteria, but they may NOT take their belongings with them.

School Experience Survey

The San Juan Unified School District has renamed its annual district climate survey to the School Experience Survey. This new name better reflects what the survey is about: your experience at your school!

Parents, staff and students are invited to participate in the School Experience Survey. Your feedback is important and helps school and district leaders identify and make changes needed in their communities. The deadline for the survey is Feb. 6.

Surveys are available online in multiple languages at:

  • Staff Survey - sanjuan.edu/staffsurvey
  • Parent Survey - sanjuan.edu/parentsurvey
  • Student Survey - sanjuan.edu/studentsurvey

We greatly value your feedback and thank you in advance for your participation.

Information Travel Meeting

Come fly with the Eagles in June of 2027! Mr. Hasdovic is offering a fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime experience, as I tour Eagles for 13 days through Spain and France! This tour will focus explicitly on "art" - so you will see some of the most amazing painting, sculpture, architecture, stained glass the world has to offer! We will also watch live flamenco performed by some of the world's best dancers (with live music accompaniment!) Students and their family members are welcome to go!

Mr. H will be hosting an informational meeting about his trip that will cover the itinerary, costs, safety, etc. on Thursday, January 22nd, from 6-7 pm in his classroom, Room #45. Reach out to jhasdovic@sanjuan.edu if you have any questions!

Artist of the Week

Congratulations, Eve Piceno!

Eve's a fantastic freshman artist from my Beginning Painting & Drawing class last block. Of her symbolic self-portrait final, she commented:

"For my symbolic self-portrait, I chose to draw a heart and rope ripping as it tied against their wrist, drawing the heart from a 3d model seeing the colors and variations of colors in it. A wing represent the breakage of the heart and setting it “free.” The rope around the hands is slowly torn as the heart begins to set release, showing that this beat of the heart is breaking them off, as when losing someone or a breakup."
