Teacher iPads

iPads assigned to teachers should be treated just like teacher laptops. They are the responsibility of the teacher and should be kept separate from student iPads, so they don't get lost in the shuffle. Also, it is a good idea to attach something (label, tape, ribbon, etc) to identify the teacher iPad.

Attention All 4th and 5th Grade Teachers

The EMSISD 4th and 5th grade Poetry Slam is back! We had such a great time doing it the first time, we can't wait to see what great poems will be created this year. All 4th and 5th grade ELA/Reading classes are invited and encouraged to participate. Participation is easy! Students write and recite their poems in class. Then the top two poems in the class will be submitted through Flipgrid to compete in the district slam. The competition will be held live in February right after your Poetry unit. Submissions will be judged by select librarians and/or district personnel. Winners will receive a certificate and prizes. Remember, submissions can be done anytime between now and our competition in February. If you are interested in hosting our live-streamed competition on your campus, please email Bob Eikenberry at reikenberry@ems-isd.net. The competition rubric is attached below.
