The Riverwalk Roar
July 11th, 2025
A Note from Dr. Compton
Happy Summer, Pride!
In just a few weeks, the staff of Riverwalk Academy looks forward to welcoming you to the 2025-2026 school year! If you’re one of the 94% of our families returning, welcome back. If you’re joining us for the first time, we’re thrilled to have you as part of our Pride.
There are still a few weeks left in summer, so I’ll keep this brief instead of sending you a lengthy letter with all my thoughts and reflections.
First, we’ve created a Back-to-School page on our website to house all things “back to school.” Over the next week, we’ll be adding more resources, so please check back often.
Second, if you haven’t already, please download our Riverwalk Academy Mobile App (available on both the App Store and Google Play) and enable notifications. Anytime we add new resources to the Back-to-School page, we’ll send out an app notification to keep you in the loop.
Finally, I’m excited to share a sneak peek at our theme for the 2025-2026 school year: PRIDE in every step, K through 12.
Now that we’re a K-12 school all on one campus, it’s the perfect time to define who we are and what we stand for. While there are unique differences between our elementary, middle, and high school programs, we’re also one unified campus dedicated to seamlessly developing our students, from their first day of kindergarten through their transition to adulthood, where they are equipped to lead and pursue their lifelong passions.
This year, we’re especially excited to introduce an updated Project-Based Learning (PBL) model that extends across all grade levels. Through engaging, real-world projects, our students will deepen their learning, build essential skills, and discover how they can make a meaningful impact on the world around them.
We’re looking forward to you and your student experiencing this journey with us and being part of the incredible things we’ll accomplish together this year.
We can’t wait to see all the amazing things this year will bring.
With Purpse and Pride,
~Dr. Compton
