ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

Welcome to Franklin Academy and the 2026-2027 school year!

To ensure a smooth transition for you and your family,

please review the following important information about campus

arrivals and departures, as well as transportation details.

Parents are welcome to drive their students to and from our campus. Franklin Academy utilizes DashPass as our dismissal system to manage pick-up and drop-off traffic. Detailed procedures on the arrival and dismisal processes can be found in the Policies & Procedures section of the website.

Do not enter the campus access road until directed by the officer.

The City of Pembroke Pines haveshared with us that the property next to our school is an active construction site.

We understand this may affect traffic flow during arrival and dismissal.

We are always in close contact with the City to develop a plan, if necessary, that minimizes disruption and keeps everyone safe.

In the meantime, please:

• Use extreme caution on the access road when entering and exiting campus.

• Allow extra time for drop-off and pick-up.

• Follow all posted signs and directions from staff.

• Be patient and courteous to other drivers and pedestrians.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work through this with the City.

Please know that tudent and staff safety always remains our top priority.

Please make sure that you have assigned 'custodial rights' for your child, during the Registration process in your PowerSchool account.

You will not receive access to your child's DashPass information without the custodial assignment.

Franklin Academy is pleased to share our FREE carpool matching service.

Easy Steps to follow:

• Sign up for your free account
• Enter your home address in the origin section
• Select the appropriate Franklin Academy campus as your destination
• The site will find potential suitable matches
• Contact your matches and agree to become a carpool and configure your carpool in the DashPass app.

The service is free and completely optional.

If you have added a new student to your DashPass app, you should

log out of the app and then and back in again to to see all of your children.

• Once your child has been accepted to Franklin Academy, you may request bus transportation during the online registration process.

• Transportation is available on a limited basis. Franklin Academy offers transportation for students who live between 2 and 6 miles from the campus.

• If you live within two miles of the campus, you must provide transportation for your child(ren).

• When transportation is assigned, a bus pass will be emailed.

• Bus passes for registered students will be emailed two weeks before the start of school year.

• Bus stops are subject to change from year-to-year.

• Be sure to PRINT YOUR CHILD'S BUS PASS and have them CARRY it in their BACKPACK to access E2E bus school services to and from campus daily.

• Without a bus pass your child may be denied access to travel.

Private transportation companies are permitted as a transportation option for families, so long

as the private transportation company follows Franklin’s pick-up & drop-off procedures.
