Clover LEAF: Fundraising for the Future!
In our previous newsletters, we have shared an overview of the Clover Leaders for Educational Advancement Foundation (LEAF) and our Grant process. In this newsletter, we will go into how we support Clover School District (CSD) in achieving educational excellence – supporting innovative
and imaginative educational programs - through our fundraising program and the policies for managing our funds. To see the photos of our 2023-2024 Grant winners and read the descriptions of their projects please go to our FaceBook page, https://www.Facebook.com/CloverLEAFSC.
Why does Clover LEAF fundraise?
The goal of our Fundraising Activities is to garner financial support for Foundation programs and projects by soliciting for grants, gifts, donations and endowments as well as conducting new and varied fundraising activities. In order to accomplish this goal, we have established the following objectives:
Establish and execute a fundraising and marketing program which will support Foundation approved educational innovation and achievement to include grant writing to other non-profit
organizations. To this end we have established our LEAF monthly newsletter with the first editions being focused on informing readers about LEAF, our mission, goals and objectives and accomplishments. As we move forward, we’ll be highlighting the progress of our recently awarded
grant programs and fundraising events.
Increase community focused fundraising activities to two per school year. To accomplish this objective, we will be hosting a Gala and the Clover LEAF Cuisine “Down in the Bayou”.
Save the Date for the Clover LEAF’s Inaugural GALA on March 23, 2024, at River Hills Country Club 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Food, fun and fundraising for Clover’s educators. More details coming soon!
Join us on Thursday, Apr. 25, from 5-7 p.m. in the Clover High School Cafeteria for a Louisiana-inspired dinner prepared by the Culinary Arts students. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased online by using the QR code or in person at the District Office.
Create a database of businesses, civic organizations and individual supporters which are or would potentially be donors and student mentors. We started developing the database in March 2023 and
currently have over 350 entries with a goal to have 400 by the end of the school year.
A Note from our Treasury
The Board approved Clover LEAF Treasury Policy establishes clear guidelines and procedures for the management, handling, and oversight of the Foundation’s finances, including cash handling and check signing, to ensure transparency, accountability, and the safeguarding of assets. The financials of the Foundation are healthy and we are confident in our abilities to foster long term support for our CSD students, staff, and faculty for the foreseeable future. With that being said, our Foundation can only operate with the continuing support of our local community including individuals, businesses, civic and faith-based organizations. So be sure to give today via check or PayPal (see link below) to support our great Mission. Additionally, the Foundation is ready and able to partner with you in advancing our Mission of supporting academic excellence in the Clover School District. The Clover LEAF prize patrol had a great time surprising our 2023 grant winners on October 20th! Congratulations to these deserving educators!
Clover LEAF was thrilled to host a table at the Heroes Luncheon on November 16th. This special event, hosted by the Clover High School Interact Club, honored our local law enforcement, fire fighters, and veterans. We thank you for your service!
Thank YOU
As we come to a close on this year, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support of Clover LEAF and our mission to make a positive impact on the students and staff of the Clover School District. Your participation has meant that we have been able to provide over $15,000 in grants to Clover teachers in 2023 alone. These grants help fund innovative programs, provide educational opportunities, and ensure that Clover is able to reach excellence in the classroom everyday. As we look to the future, we are excited for the potential for growth in our grants program and community engagement. With your support, we endeavor greatly to make an impact on the over 10,000 students and staff of our community. Together, we can!
