PCHS Updates
Friday, May 16, 2025
A Note from the PCHS Admin Team
PCHS Community,
That's a wrap on the Class of 2025's school year! This is a special group of Seniors. We are so proud of how they've grown and matured across their high school career, on the tails of a once in a lifetime pandemic. We will miss this group! Senior families: Invitations went out on Wednesday via email from Mrs. McBride for Senior Awards Night on Wednesday, May 28. Please RSVP by May 21! There may be some additional invites that go out next week after 2nd semester grades are finalized for Seniors. Keep your eyes peeled!
After Senior Awards Night, our next touchpoint with Seniors will be at 9:00AM sharp at Pirate Stadium on Thursday, May 29 for graduation rehearsal! Come wearing your gown so you can show it off as you're clapped out across the district after rehearsal before joining us for a BBQ lunch upon your return to PCHS. Then it will be rest time so you're ready for the Senior All-Night Party that night starting at 7:00PM!
Have a great weekend, Pirates!
Mrs. McBride & Mr. McMurray

2025 Summer School Credit Recovery Info
2025 Summer School Registration Form

Summer School Credit Recovery is the best way to ensure you are on -track for graduation; complete the class(es) over the summer, to start the next school year without worrying! All students who successfully complete their summer classes will earn a letter grade. This grade will be reflected on the student's high school transcript and is figured into their GPA and replaces their original failed grade.
Thank you,
PCHS Summer School Credit Recovery Team
June Exam Schedule

PCHS Student & Staff Member of the Week
We recognize a student and staff member each week, nominated by the school community based on how fellow Pirates are exemplifying Positivity Project traits and identified by our Leadership & Link Crew class. Our Student of the Week is also recognized as a part of the Livingston Daily's spotlight, published digitally on Fridays and in print on Sundays.
Spencer Brossoit
Spencer is the definition of a well-rounded student—excelling in advanced academic courses, performing with dedication in orchestra, and leading with integrity on the football field. As a scholar-athlete-musician, he balances his many commitments with humility and grace, always giving his best without seeking the spotlight. Spencer is a great leader to both his peers and underclassmen, many of whom look up to him for guidance and inspiration.
Known for his kindness, leadership, and social intelligence, Spencer is quick to help others, answer questions, and approach situations with thoughtful perspective. He demonstrates a genuine love of learning and an appreciation for the small things in life. Next year, Spencer will attend Eastern Michigan University to pursue a degree in health sciences, and we have no doubt he will continue to lead and excel in all he does. We are proud to celebrate Spencer and the positive impact he’s made on the PCHS community.
Mrs. Vanessa Wignall
Mrs. Wignall exemplifies perseverance, kindness, and integrity in everything she does. She consistently goes above and beyond to support her students—helping them feel confident in subjects that often challenge them. Her ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and with compassion has inspired many students to find success in chemistry and AP Physics, even when they doubted themselves.
Known for her sense of humor, fairness, and unwavering support, Mrs. Wignall creates a welcoming and engaging learning environment where students feel safe, seen, and valued. She brings hope and purpose to her classroom and treats every student with patience and respect. Her dedication, approachability, and positivity make her a standout educator and a beloved member of the PCHS community. We are proud to celebrate Mrs. Wignall and the meaningful difference she makes every day.
What We Did in Seminar This Week
On Fridays, students spend an hour in what we call Seminar. The purpose of Seminar is to ensure every student has at least one go-to adult mentor at PCHS focused on their well-being, academic success, and connection to a healthy school climate.
No Seminar this week due to the Senior exam schedule.
