Mid Week Updates

Dear HMS Families,

I hope this email finds all of you well. We had some important information to share with all of you pertaining to events that are occurring on Friday, 9/26.

Please scroll below for information about the following:

  • Picture Retakes
  • Homecoming Parade
  • Policy change for students attending HHS home football games

With Kindness,

Bess & Sid

Picture Retakes are THIS Friday!

Just a reminder that we have our make-up picture day! Students will be called down during our first and/or second period to get their picture taken. If you are interested, please use this LINK to purchase student photos.

First Annual Hockinson High School Homecoming Parade!

When: Friday, September 26th, 2:30-3:00pm

We are really excited to have our leadership students represent HMS with a parade float during the Homecoming parade! We hope you will consider joining us to cheer on all of our Hockinson students! The theme this year is “Once a Hawk, Always a Hawk!”

What does this mean for HMS students? The parade staging will take place behind HMS. Our students will stay with their 7th period class and line up outside HMS to watch the parade. When the parade is finished, they will remain with their 7th period class until the end of the school day.

What does this mean for parking? People watching the parade will be able to park in the spaces in front of HMS, the community center, as well as the field next to Hockinson Fuel and Cloverlane Event Center.

Buses and parent pick-up times will be just like a normal day.

This is information about the parade from Kathy Pacheco, HHS Assistant Principal/Athletic Director:

A message from HHS: New Policy for Home Football Games

Dear Hockinson Students and Families,

As we continue to work together to ensure a safe, fun, and positive experience at our home football games, we are implementing updated game day guidelines, effective immediately:

  1. No Re-Entry: Once students enter the stadium, they will not be permitted to leave and re-enter.

  2. Bags and Backpacks: Students will not be allowed to bring backpacks, large bags, water bottles or outside drinks into the stadium.

  3. No Storage Available: Please note that we will not have a place to store backpacks or other personal belongings if brought to the game.

We kindly ask that students and families plan accordingly before arriving. These guidelines are intended to help us maintain a safe environment for all spectators and to allow everyone to enjoy the game.

We appreciate your cooperation and support of our student-athletes. Let’s continue to show great Hockinson spirit and make our home games an enjoyable experience for all!

Go Hawks!

Sincerely,
Kathy Pacheco
