Good Evening,

It is so hard to believe we are already into mid October. Staff have done a great job setting expectations, and creating and maintaining their classroom communities. Data is continually being taken, in both formal and informal ways. Through utilizing this data, lessons are being tweaked, and student learning and student growth is occurring.

Be sure to mark your calendar with this week's events. There is no school, tomorrow, 10/12, as we observe Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day. This Tuesday, 10/13, is a half day for students with dismissal at 11:50AM. All are welcome at Talbot's monthly, Parent Council Meeting, this Thursday, 10/15, @7:00PM, either virtually or at Talbot's library.

Mental health was identified as an important focus for SEPAC programming this year, and we’re pleased to share that PPAL Parent/Professional Advocacy League will be joining SEPAC for an upcoming presentation on the Mental Health IEP.

This presentation will provide families with an opportunity to learn more about educational supports for students experiencing mental health challenges and how families can advocate for their children’s needs.

The deadline to sign up for the Backpack Program using the online Google Form is Friday, October 16. After October 16, the Google Form will close; however, families can still sign up for the program at any time by contacting their student’s school and completing the permission slip linked here. If you are signing up more than one child who attends different schools, please complete and submit a separate permission slip to each child’s school."
