February 2026
Message from the Principal
Dear Lakeridge Families,
As we head into February, we are proud to celebrate both a strong finish to the first semester and a positive start to the second half of the school year. Our Hawks have made so much progress academically, socially and emotionally since September. This progress is made possible through the collaboration and partnerships we share with our families. Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement.
We closed out the first semester with several notable highlights. Our band students delivered very successful performances, including a milestone moment for our sixth grade band as they took the stage for their very first concert. 6th and 7th grade students in Integrated Performance Arts put together creative and entertaining performances of Alice in Wonderland as well. Academically, we had a record number of seventh and eighth grade students earn their first high school credit by successfully completing Washington State History. We also hosted a highly successful school STEAM Fair, where we welcomed nearly 500 attendees who came to see impressive student work in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
As we look ahead to the second semester, we are excited for more opportunities for students to demonstrate excellence in their middle school interests and pursuits in learning. We remain committed to know, value, and support each of our students as we prepare them for high school.
Below you will find important updates and reminders as we move through the second semester. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns, or ideas.
Sincerely,
Toby Udager
Principal

From the Health Room
Please read through the Medication at School Policy:
The district cannot administer any medications (prescription or over the counter) without a medication at school order completed and signed by the health care provider and the parent/guardian.
Parents/guardians are responsible for providing the unexpired medication in the original labeled packaging.
No more than 20 doses of a controlled substance will be stored on campus.
Students may self-carry a medication at school (most commonly an inhaler) if their medication at school order specifically states that the student is authorized to do so by their health care provider.
