This year for Blackfoot Esports, we went to state for Super Smash Bros and Overwatch 2. The Smash team fought a good fight and placed 4th, whereas the Overwatch team settled in 7th. Either way, it was a good time to be at State in the Boise State esports arena in downtown Boise. There was a lot of cheering and support for our players.
Next year, there is potential to add a few games to the roster, like Marvel Rivals. Hopefully, Valorant will work for us next year since this year our computers decided to not work for us. If your student is interested in esports next year the games we play are Overwatch, Super Smash Bros, Fortnite, Valorant, Apex, and Rocket League. Every year, the high schools in Idaho grow their esports programs and State becomes bigger and bigger.
