Car Rider Line

The car rider line works wonderfully in the afternoons thanks to you! If we could make just one adjustment, this would move things along a little quicker. Some of you are strapping your little ones in at the loading numbers. We kindly ask that you pull past the first loading spot to complete this action so that the traffic flow can continue. Many of you are already doing this, and we appreciate it!

Technology Fee Reminder

Families,

In keeping with KCSD School Board policy, all students in grades 1st - 5th need to pay a $10 technology fee before they can bring a device home. This and other fees can be paid online. To pay, you can go to www.myschoolbucks.com and create an account or log in to an existing one. Payments can be made by visiting the "School Store." Myschoolbucks.com charges a processing fee for online payments. You may also send $10 (cash or check made payable to LES) to your child's teacher, or you may drop it off at the front office. This fee must be paid each year and covers charges for Chromebook damages. The KCSD insurance plan covers the cost of one (1) accidental repair per school year; however, any damages or repair costs beyond the first incident will be the responsibility of the student/parent/guardian. Please refer to pages 73 and 74 of the Parent Handbook below for additional information.

Reminder: Summer Reading Logs Due Monday (August 24)

Don't miss your chance to celebrate all the reading you did over the summer!! If your child has not turned-in their Summer Reading Log, please remember to send it in on Monday. This is the final day the logs will be accepted. If you cannot find the log, another copy is attached below. Just print it, fill in 10 books you read during the summer, and send it in to Mrs. Brewer on Monday. We will celebrate our summer readers in September!

We will have our first All Pro Dad's Breakfast for this school year on Friday Aug 28, 2026 at 7:30 AM in the cafeteria. So that we can have materials and breakfast ready, please RSVP by Tuesday, Aug 26, 2026 using the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfqIZXlHpmjhotBoYkYXZAGhyM8CXZWxlRWtyvgmmeNOI2pXw/viewform?usp=header .
