Race for Education -- We're So Close to Hitting Our Goal!
Even though Race Day is over, it's not too late to send in a contribution to show support for your racer! We still need a bit more to reach our goal -- If we reach our school goal by Nov.12th we'll celebrate with a special Principal's Surprise at the November assembly!
Remember that the Race for Education financially supports:
-Field Trips & 5th Grade Outdoor School
-School Assemblies & Author Visits
-5th Grade Memory Book
-Teachers & Staff Support and Appreciation
-School Events
-Playground Equipment
and so much more!
Every dollar is gratefully received, deeply appreciated and wisely used to directly support our Salford Hills Community. Thank you for your generosity!

Parent Teacher Conference Sign-up
Next week, homeroom teachers will be sending out a link for parents to sign-up for our November Parent Teacher Conferences. It is helpful if all parents are able to attend these conferences either in person or virtually. This year our Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on November 23rd and 24th from 8:30-3:30 and on November 25th from 8:30 to 12:00. If you have any questions about signing up for your child's conference please contact your child's homeroom teacher.

Fall Parade and Socials
The Salford Hills students had a great time at our Fall Parade and Socials last week. Students got to dress up in costumes for the parade, and then have some fun at our fall socials. A big thank you to all of our parent volunteers that made this event successful!
Home and School News
We Need You!!
The Home & School Association helps to plan events and Teacher Appreciation, coordinate volunteers for classroom activities, and so much more. But none of this happens without plenty of helping hands. Sadly, this is the last year for some of our best volunteers.
So we need you now more than ever to ensure these events can continue!
There are so many ways to serve at Salford Hills, both big and small. We would love to see you at our monthly meetings or you can reach out if you are interested in learning more at board@salfordhillshsa.org. Whether you are the parent of a Kindergartener or a 5th grader, it's never too late to get involved!
Next Home & School Meeting: Tuesday, Nov. 10th at 6pm in the SH Cafeteria!
Meetings are a great opportunity to meet other parents, learn about HSA events and discover different ways to get involved and volunteer -- big or small. We need you now more than ever! Bring your ideas, concerns, or questions to the Board and allow the kids to play since childcare is always provided at no cost! We hope you'll join us!
Volunteer Registration Form
If you have any interest in potentially volunteering (donating time, talent, funds or food!) at any time throughout the school year, please fill out the Google form below. There will be plenty of chances to get involved both in the classroom and at after school events. There is no commitment by filling out the form -- it simply adds you to the email list to be notified about opportunities where you could contribute in some way.
In order to be contacted regarding these opportunities, you must join our volunteer list by filling out the form below (you must fill this out each year).
Thank you! 😊
Need Clearances to Volunteer?
** Please note that all prospective volunteers must complete & submit the SASD Community Volunteer Registration and Disclosure Statement found on the SH Volunteering website each year.**
Clearances should be submitted to Mrs. Landis in the main office or at jlandis@soudertonsd.org.
Questions for Home and School?
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you can reach out via board@salfordhillshsa.org to contact all four board members: president (Heather Zeigler), vice-president (Desiree Bonkoski), secretary (Amy Burns), treasurer (Adria Zane).
