First Day Back on Monday
Monday marks a fresh start for your child as we begin Second Semester. Some helpful tips:
1. Ask your child to check Infinite Campus on Sunday night. Small changes have been made to schedules over break and may have impacted your child.
2. Each student has an opportunity to start over with strong grades and work completion. The New Year is an wonderful time to create new habits. HERE is an excellent article on helping your Middle Schooler with organization and time management.
3. Take a moment to connect with any teachers who may be new to your child this semester. Families are a crucial piece of any school culture and our staff tries very hard to work alongside you to help your child succeed. We do our best to share important information as needed but sometimes hearing directly from parents is helpful. This is especially important for any health needs, strategies that have proven to work well, specific areas of difficulty, or the best way to contact you if needed.
4. Please remind your child of our cell phone policy at CMS. Cell phones are to be left in lockers during the school day. Students should not plan to communicate with them throughout the day, including before school, between classes, or at lunch. If students need to contact parents, they are asked to come to the main office to make a phone call so we can be aware of any needs and help more quickly. Thank you for reminding your child of this policy that allows our students to focus on learning while at school!
