Do you have a child at home who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2024? Do you know someone who does, perhaps a friend or a neighbor? If so, Gibraltar School District has a spot waiting just for them in our kindergarten classrooms next year! Gibraltar School District offers both a traditional Kindergarten program as well as a Young Fives Kindergarten program. Both of these programs have a strong focus on the math and literacy skills needed for a solid foundation through the course of the formative elementary years. Registration is open now! Once you register, please join us for an informational night, for parents and prospective students, on Tuesday, April 16 at 6:00 at Parsons. Visit our website for more information!

Drop Off

Please DO NOT drop off your child early. We open the doors at 8:33. There is NO supervision prior to this time.

We LOVE our teachers! Don't forget to shout out a staff member!

Please send some positive compliments to our teachers for the new year! Our teachers and staff are working hard! If you have a kind word of gratitude or kindness, please shout it out! Click on the link here. These shout outs are shared each week with staff.

Transportation Reminder

Students are not allowed to ride home with friends on the bus, even with a note. The transportation department is not able to accommodate additional riders since are busses are full. Thanks for understanding.

A total solar eclipse is crossing North America on April 8th, and we will be able to see about 99% totality from the Gibraltar School District! After this event, we won't have another total solar eclipse visible from the U.S. until 2044! We are thrilled to announce that the Gibraltar School District is providing eclipse viewing glasses to our students and staff for the upcoming total solar eclipse! A form will go home after break if you want to opt your child out of this experience.

School Safety

All doors are locked during the school day. If you come to school, you will be buzzed into the foyer area and office and then asked to show identification before your child is released. All visitors/volunteers in the building must report and sign in at the office. Visitors must wear a badge in the school building. All volunteers in the classroom and for field trips must have a background check on file each year. Teacher of the Month

Jamie Churches', State Representative HD 27, office has a new ‘Teacher of the Month’ nomination form available on their website. As always, they wish to highlight the phenomenal educators of our district and showcase their incredible efforts in the classroom, with our students, and within the school community. I have attached the link to this email for your convenience. As they receive nominations, her team will reach out accordingly to schedule a day/time to present the award to a teacher per school month. Last year, Brittany Gurney received this award. We have so many awesome educators!
