HB 1416 Parent Request for Teacher Process
According to HB 1416, school districts are required to give parents of students in grades 4 - 12 who did not meet passing standard on STAAR or an EOC exam in Spring 2025 the opportunity to request a teacher.
In order to comply with the legislation, if your child did not meet passing standard on STAAR 3 - 8 or they did not meet passing standard on an End of Course Exam at the high school level, you may fill out this parent request survey at the link below:

STAAR 3-8 and High School EOC results are already in the Skyward Family Access Portal: CLICK HERE
When you log into the Family Access Portal, look at the top right corner and click on "District Links" to find the assessment results. (reference picture above)
Please do not call your child's campus to make a request. Additionally, according to Texas House Bill 1416, districts are only required to consider parent requests. So, the requests are not guaranteed to be granted. This survey will close on Friday, Aug. 2nd at midnight.
