The Weekly Update #4
January 20th, 2025

WEEK 20
We made it through an extremely cold week!!! Although it was cold it sure was great!! We had many things going on this week including the annual winter pep session. Of course the highlight as always was the staff defeating the students in basketball! We are continuing our branding with a couple more graphics in the cafeteria. Thank you to RCS maintenance for getting those put up! Under Links and Announcements you can find the link from Winter Orientation. If you missed attending you can watch it there. Looks like things will begin to warm up for us next week. Funny how I look forward to temperatures in the 40's!!! Everyone have a great weekend and we will see you students on MONDAY!!!!!
LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU SEE IT
NEW DIPLOMA
Again Understand that this only affects the class of 2029. Next years incoming Freshman class will be under different guidelines in order to graduate. All students will graduate in one of three areas; enrollment, employment, or enlist. In last week's newsletter I focused on the Employment Seals. This week I want to show you about the Enrollment Seals.
ENROLLMENT HONORS SEAL PLUS
Enrollment Honors Seal PLUS. Earn all of the Honors Seal.. PLUS
Credential of Value - ICC (included in the outline shown), Technical Certificate, Associate Degree
Complete at least 75 hours of WBL
(incorporated in the schedule and could utilize SRT)
Demonstrate skill development in Communication, Collaboration, and Work Ethic
ATTENDANCE
This is a reminder about our attendance goals at RCHS. The goal is that students have 8 days or less absences. Attendance does not reset at semester. It is 8 days for the school year. You can think of it in semesters, if that is easier, which would be 4 absences per semester. These absences include excused and unexcused absences. If a student has a certified absence (doctor's note, etc see full list in our handbook), those absences do not count against the student. This is a change from past years to better align with the Indiana goals for attendance.
GREATNESS FROM STAFF AND STUDENTS
