What A Season!
The 2026 Marching Season has officially come to a close, and while we may not be happy with the outcome, we look back and reflect. The amount of growth that has happened in this program since 2024 is incredible and should not go unnoticed. When we get a taste of success we sometimes forget how much time and work it truly takes to change the culture and direction of a program. "Rome wasn't built in a day," and neither will our Trooper Band legacy. But, we cannot deny that we are headed into a direction of greatness. AS LONG AS WE understand our roles and responsibilities in this program. As long as we practice and work to truly become better musicians. As long as we are honest with ourselves and work towards our struggles so that the ensemble as a whole can continue to get better.
This year was a step in the right direction and we are truly proud of all of our students for their hard work and success. Now we turn the page to the rest of the year and work for our students to continue to grow. As always, thank you to our parents, our volunteers, and everyone who has dedicated their time to helping our students in every way possible.
So What's Next?
While we may believe our year slows down now that we are at the end of marching season..... let us brace you. It's just beginning. We will now turn our page to All-Region, Winterguard and Indoor Percussion. Then we continue with Jazz and Concert Band. Beginning Tuesday morning we will have All-Region rehearsals that are REQUIRED for ALL band and percussion students.
Senior Send-Off This Wednesday!!!
This Wednesday, we celebrate our seniors one last time as our students take the field for the final time to perform our marching show. Please join us at Trooper Stadium at 6:30pm as we say thank you to our seniors!
Sun City Throwdown This Saturday!!!
This Saturday, November 7th, we will host our 18th Annual Sun City Throwdown! Throwdown is the only percussion contest of it's kind in our area, and is a huge fundraiser that helps our program. If you are a parent who would like to volunteer, please contact Mrs. Tabatha Johnson. Students will be able to sign up for volunteering spots this week on the Band App. Please show up and help support our program!
Indoor Percussion and Winterguard Mandatory Parent Meetings
The next part of our guard and percussion students turns to the winterguard season. We will hold MANDATORY parent meetings for both groups next week. Guard Parents will meet Tuesday, November 10th, at 6pm. Percussion parents will meet Thursday, November 12th, at 6pm. These meetings will include details for the spring season as well as fees and fundraisers planned for everyone.
Playoff Game - November 13th
We have just learned that our football team will host San Angelo Central for a home football game on Friday November 13th. The students will NOT march their show, but are still required to attend for stands and Trooperette performances. Kickoff is currently scheduled for 6:30pm.
Fall Concert Postponed!!!!
As you may remember, we originally had a Fall Concert for our Wind Symphony and Symphonic Bands scheduled for this Wednesday. Due to the focus and success we have had during the marching season, we have moved our concert to November 18th. Thank you!
Congratulations On A Successful Season!
