A Short Message from Mrs. Collins
It's almost time! We are excited to see our hallways and classrooms filled with children once again. Although the summer provides a wonderful opportunity to organize paperwork, procedures, and prepare for the coming months, there is nothing better than seeing the children in our community come back to school ready to learn. Thank you for taking a few moments to review the information included in this newsletter. Whether you are a returning family, or brand new, welcome back!
Class Lists
Class lists will be posted on the front doors of school on Monday, August 24th at 3:30 pm.
Changes will not be allowed at this time as rosters were created in April and are balanced for the needs of all our students at this time. Parent requests were accepted in the spring. The deadline was April 11th.
4:00-5:30 pm
Come meet your teacher and drop off supplies!!
2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration
If you still need to register a student for Kindergarten, please come into the district or MES office prior to August 21st. If you cannot come in person, please call our office to share your information at (906) 863-4466.
Drop Off and Pick up
Elementary schools do not have a lot of parking, so we please ask that you drive with consideration as over 600 students arrive and depart our school each day.
Here are some reminders:
- Follow the speed limit, and yield to pedestrians
- Be courteous to our crossing guards
- Leave yourself enough time for the trip to and/or from school
Absences
If your child will be absent from school, please call us at (906) 863-4466 or (906) 863-3605 as soon as possible. When calling your student in absent, please include the student's name, homeroom teacher and reason for absence.
The county's truancy policy is included in the family handbook
