Principal Corner

Dear Smith Stallion Parents and Students,

We are looking forward to being back to in-person learning next week. Our students did an incredible job completing their assignments while learning at home this past week. Thank you students for being responsible with your technology devices and working hard to complete your assignments. Parents, THANK YOU for supporting your child(ren) with their at home learning. Don’t forget to bring your charged device with you to school on Monday!

Our Valentine's Day Class Parties will be Friday, February 11, 2022 from 1:45 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. We are limiting the number of parents that come to help with the party to two (2) total. Thank you for understanding as we transition back to normal school operations. If you are interested in helping with the party, please contact your child’s teacher. We will not be in school on Monday, February 14, 2022.

It is important to have your child to school on time each day. Your child’s day begins at 7:45 a.m. each morning. Our doors open at 7:15 a.m. with free breakfast in the cafeteria until 7:40 a.m. We understand situations will occur but we wanted to ask you to make a commitment to help your child get their day started off right each day by being on time.

Our car rider line in the afternoon is going great! We appreciate everyone staying in their cars and helping us move the car line at an efficient pace. Having the student number available also helps keep the line moving. If you are unsure about your child’s assigned number, please call the office. We will be able to help you. Just to let you know, the line is usually cleared by 3:20 p.m. It is imperative that you are at school no later than 3:30 p.m. Our duty personnel go off duty at 3:30 p.m. each afternoon. Thank you again for your help following our car rider dismissal procedure.
