We're excited to share that bestselling fantasy author Brandon Mull will visit 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students on Tuesday, March 11 at Clayton. Mull is the #1 New York Times best-selling author of the Fablehaven, Dragonwatch, Beyonders, Five Kingdoms, and The Candy Shop War series. Brandon reportedly enjoys bouncy balls, squeezable stress toys, and popping bubble wrap. He lives in Utah with his wife, Erlyn, their eleven children, three mischievous cats, and a brood of chickens.

Author visits are an excellent way to excite kids about both reading and the writing process. His latest book, Newel & Doren, is a Fablehaven spinoff featuring two hilarious satyrs who must battle a gorgon. If you'd like to purchase a signed, personalized book, please:

• Order from BookPeople's website

• Also return this order form to Mrs. Sposeep (this helps greatly with the signing process)

• The earlier the better, but please order books by Monday, March 10 (for personalization).

Thank you for your support!

PURCHASE through our Clayton Webstore.

A ticket gets your student a drink and one or two snacks (depending on size).

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We're in serious need of parents volunteer for field day stations. Take a peek and see which time might work for you!

DON'T FORGET: If you've signed up to donate concession items, bring them by next Tuesday. It's not too late if you want to bring things, you can still sign up.

Bowie is hosting a community event specifically targeted to our feeder elementary students.

After a buzz-worthy inaugural year of the Clayton Caffeination Station, Nan Clayton PTA is teaming up again with community partners this school year to help keep the teachers' lounge stocked with the essentials... caffeine!

Local businesses (or Cardinal families!) can sponsor a month of coffee and tea in the staff lounge, and Clayton PTA will thank you by prominently recognizing your business in a variety of ways. Win/win!

Please see the attached Google form for all the details, or reach out to staffappreciation@nanclaytonpta.org with any questions.

Thank you for your help in supporting our amazing Cardinal staff!
