#1: Hey Zephs: WHS will be offering ASVAB testing on Wednesday, October 28th for interested students. The ASVAB is a military exam used to help guide students in matching their skills to post-secondary planning! If you had trouble on your Keystone exams, the ASVAB can be used for meeting the Alternate Assessment Pathway if a student achieves a score of at least 31!Students who are interested in a branch of the military should definitely take the ASVAB but you don’t have to be military bound to take the exam! But students must be at least 16 years old to participate! For more information to register check your graduation classes Google Classroom page. Students have until Wednesday, October 21st to register! If you have any questions see your counselor!

#2: The Counseling Department is excited to announce a special college visit day on Tuesday November 3rd, for all interested 11th and 12th graders. Representatives from 14 different PA state colleges will be at Whitehall for a panel discussion and Q & A session! This is an amazing opportunity for students to meet with admission reps, receive waiver codes and learn about the different opportunities the colleges have to offer! Use the QR Code located on the screen to signup for the event! Or see your counselor for more info!

#3: Hey female Zephs! Want to try something new and be a part of Zephyr history? Come join Whitehall’s first-ever girls wrestling team! You don’t need any wrestling experience to join. An info meeting will be held on Thursday October 8th at 5:30pm. We’ll be hosting an open room in the wrestling room where you can come check out the sport, play games with friends, ask questions, and learn some new skills. Come see what wrestling is all about, challenge yourself, and be part of something new. Let’s prove that girls can do anything!

#4: Hey Zephs, did you miss school picture day in September? No worries! School picture retake day will be on Tuesday, October 27th! Any underclassman who missed out on Picture Day can take a picture that day! If you purchased a picture package, the photos should arrive soon! If you don’t like the photos then you can get a retake as well! Just bring the picture package in on retake day! For more info see Mrs. Derlunas! School yearbooks are also now on-sale! Get your yearbook for the lowest price between now and the end of Thanksgiving Break! Afterwards, the price does rise, so save a few bucks before it’s too late! Head over to Balfour.com and search Whitehall High School! For more info, see Mrs. Derlunas in E107!

#5: And finally, the Zephyr Football team will be away this Friday night to take on the Emmaus Hornets! The Z-Nation theme is black out as we try to turn off the hornets nest! Be sure to come out to cheer on the team!

That’s all for now!

Have a great week Zephs!

Juniors: SAT registration is now open for fall 2026. Many colleges require or consider SAT scores as part of their holistic admission and placement decisions, and your score is a great way to show colleges you’re ready. Most juniors take their first SAT in the spring, and many take it again in the fall of their senior year to improve their score. The SAT can help you keep your college options open, demonstrate your unique strengths, and even qualify for scholarships. And with 100% free practice resources, now including enhanced tailored practice based on your prior test scores and free small-group tutoring, you’ll have everything you need to get prepared.

Extras/Attachments Extras/Attachments

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to share that our school is participating in Mini-THON, an event dedicated to supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer through Four Diamonds.

Students have received information and step-by-step instructions on how to download and set up the DonorDrive app. DonorDrive allows students to create their fundraising page, share it with family and friends, and collect donations that will support children and families battling childhood cancer.

We encourage students to get involved and start fundraising as soon as possible! Every donation, no matter the amount, helps make a difference.

If you or your student have any questions about Mini-THON or setting up DonorDrive, please feel free to reach out to the Student Council President at at 28hw07@wcsdzephyrs.org

Thank you for your support!
