Summer Robotics Course

JUHSD students took part in a summer robotics course at Jefferson High School. The project based course offered students an introduction into the Engineering Pathway. Students were introduced to basic concepts, or advanced, depending upon their levels of expertise, in robotics. Students explored, via Tetrix robotics equipment, the relationships between the field of mathematics, science, especially physics, and technology. Students worked together in building and testing a basic (or complex) Tetrix-based mobile robot.

Fashion Design and Construction Field Trip

The Advanced Fashion Design and Construction students from Westmoor High School visited the Legion of Honor to view the Guo Pei exhibit. Guo Pei: Couture Fantasy celebrates the extraordinary designs of Guo Pei—hailed as China's first couturier—and includes more than 80 works from the past two decades highlighting her most important collections shown on Beijing and Paris runways. Through exquisite craftsmanship, lavish embroidery, and unconventional dressmaking techniques, Guo Pei creates a fantasy that fuses the influences of China’s imperial past, decorative arts, European architecture, and the botanical world.
