FHS November Update
November 2, 2026
FHS Families,
As we move into November, it’s hard to believe the first trimester is already coming to a close. This is an important time for students to reflect on their progress, set goals, and celebrate their hard work so far.
November also offers us a special opportunity to pause and express gratitude: for our dedicated staff, our supportive families, and our students.
Thank you for all you do to partner with us in helping every student succeed. Wishing you and your family a restful and gratitude-filled Thanksgiving season.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Mahon
End of First Trimester - November 13
The first trimester will end on Friday, November 13. Grades will be posted by the end of the following week. Students are encouraged to use Seminar to get extra help, complete make-up work, or meet with teachers as needed.
Second trimester classes will begin on Tuesday, November 17.
Please continue to check-in with our Big Board for big projects and assignments
November 5 - Junior Class Mock Interviews
On November 5, all FHS juniors will participate in our annual Mock Interview Day! During the afternoon, students will have the opportunity to practice their interview skills with panelists from local businesses and our partners at Indian Hills Community College. This experience will help students build confidence, strengthen their communication skills, and prepare for future job interviews, internships, and postsecondary opportunities. We appreciate the community members and Indian Hills partners who are volunteering their time to help our students prepare for life beyond high school!
