It is hard to believe that May is already half over, but what a wild month it has been so far! So busy in fact that I won't be able to cram all the excitement from this past week in one edition of the Pacer Pulse!

This past week, we had students in Southern Alberta for our annual Water Travel trip, our Rugby teams were in Edmonton, we had three Pacer Football players attend All Stars in Lacombe, and we hosted our annual Career Fair and Open House on Wednesday! We topped it off with Pacers helping with the PGMS Track and Field Day and a visit from our Superintendent on Thursday. Even our Trustees Bowman and Acorn paid a visit during our Career Fair!

To add a bit of lightness to the week, on Thursday, we had Superintendent Scobie visit our team here at PCHS, and we had the opportunity to discuss budget and vision for the upcoming 2026/27 school year, record some content with our student-led Social Media team, and enjoy a delicious lunch courtesy of Cobalt's Cafe. We appreciate when we have visits by our Central Office team and love to showcase the incredible things our Pacers are doing!

The Exam Schedule for May/June (Semester 2) is formally released and is shared below. Grade 9's - the Part A of your English PAT will be taking place this upcoming Thursday, May 21st starting at 9am. Students are expected to be at school for regular arrival time and will wait in the Pacer Dome until called down to Lab 4 for the exam.

Please take note of when your Pacer has exams to wrap up the year. Grade 9's, the Part A of your English PAT will be coming up soon in May, so please review these at your earliest convenience. Please note that students are required to attend their scheduled exams and all regular classes until exam week. Best exam preparation practice includes starting early with review and connecting with your teachers if you need any additional help preparing for your exams. Don't forget, we run Study Hall every day at Lunch (with either Andersen or Bencz, depending on the day)!

While we stayed in town this weekend, we had a very busy May Long! Between biking in Willmore, hiking, and finishing yard work, we were filled to the brim with excitement. During our Open House, Mrs. Biehler brought it to our attention that we have three generations of Pacers in our midst - Mrs. Biehler taught Mrs. Dickson and Mrs. Dickson taught me - we had to capture the moment!

If you do not already follow our school's Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/pchspacers), please consider doing so as we update it regularly. Send any questions our way at (780) 723-6035 or pop by anytime - we always welcome a visit!

This past weekend, three of our very own Pacers Football players represented at the 6-A-Side All Star Game in Lacombe, Alberta.

Keaton H., Cole A., and Aaron R. did a fantastic job and were accompanied by Coach Preston.

Fantastic work Pacers!

This past Friday, many of our Pacers volunteered to help out with the Pine Grove annual Track and Field Day. Pacers could be found tracking stats, running events, and lending a helping hand wherever they were needed! As a surprise, Mrs. Downing and Mrs. Basaraba went to visit each of the Pacers and gave them some much needed sun protection for the day.

Looking good Pacers and thank you for volunteering!
