🚨 Testing Day Reminder

As testing season approaches, please be advised that no student will be checked out during the school day when we are administering tests. This includes before, during, and after the exam window. Testing sites must be uninterrupted to ensure validity and reliability of their results.

This policy applies to the following testing dates:

March 25 - ACT (11th grade only; all others asynchronous off campus)

April 1- Aspire and AZSci (9th and 11th graders; all others asynchronous off campus)

Help Your Child Be Prepared for Testing

State testing is right around the corner for students in grades 3-9 and 11. These assessments are required and not only help measure your child’s learning but also play a role in your school’s overall performance rating. For high school students, test scores also contribute to College and Career Readiness Index (CCRI) points, which help show how well schools are preparing students for success after graduation.

Here’s how you can help your student feel prepared and confident on testing days:

  • Check your school’s testing schedule – Testing has begun for select assessments and goes through the month of April. Please check with your school regarding their specific testing days.
  • Ensure good rest – A full night’s sleep helps students stay focused and do their best.
  • Be on time & present – Attendance matters every day, but especially during testing. Please avoid scheduling appointments during your child’s testing schedule.
  • Encourage their best effort – These tests are a way for students to show what they know. Encourage them to take their time, read carefully, stay positive and try their best.

Thank you for partnering with us to help your students succeed.

Start Your Day off Right Start Your Day off Right

Did you know that the number of first block tardies is nearly three times as many as tardies in other blocks? Getting to school on time is essential in setting the tone for a successful learning environment. How can you make the start of your day successful, Coyotes?

Please keep in mind that students arriving to campus after 8:13 am should report to the attendance gate to avoid delays and additional walking. All other gates must be locked by the 8:15 bell.

Tip: If students are not in line at a gate before the Coyote howls at 8:14, they should head towards the attendance gate.
