Principal's Message

Good Friday Evening, SpotsyCTC Community!

Happy November 1! Time flies when you're having fun, and this week has been filled with exciting opportunities and hands-on learning for our students.

Our Cosmetology program launched its first "Transformation Tuesday" Salon of the year! With fantastic support from parents and the community, students showcased their skills while providing salon services to guests.

Computer Systems students enjoyed visits from guest speakers from Spotsylvania County IT Department who shared insights into the world of IT, cybersecurity, and the significance of their career path.

Our JROTC cadets have been working diligently, preparing for upcoming Raider and Drill Competitions. Meanwhile, our Color and Honor Guards have proudly represented us at recent homecoming games.

Just a quick reminder about an exciting event hosted by Spotsylvania County Schools at Chancellor High School on November 7, 2024! Our 4E Expo will introduce students to a variety of specialty programs available in the county, including CTE, IB, JROTC, and Governor’s School. Check out the attached flyer for more details!

It's truly inspiring to see so many students seizing the opportunities available at SpotsyCTC as they prepare for their future careers. Keep up the fantastic work, everyone!

REMINDERS:

  • Attendance Notes: Please remember to send a copy of your child’s doctor, dentist, or excused absence note to both SpotsyCTC and your child's home high school. Since we are separate schools, each requires its own copy of the note. With an excused note, our attendance secretary, Mrs. Saunders, can update absences or tardies to “excused.” Mrs. Saunders can be reached at: ssaunders@spotsylvania.k12.va.us or at 540-898-2655.
  • Student Devices: Please bring your SCPS device and charger each day to school. Please charge your device each evening and bring your charger should your battery die. Please label your device lid and charger with your first and last name. It may be as simple as a piece of tape with your first and last name.
  • Student Drivers: Students are not allowed to drive to SpotsyCTC without prior permission. Those who are part of the QUEST program or have no other classes on the day they attend SpotsyCTC may apply for driving and parking privileges. If your child needs to drive to SpotsyCTC due to a doctor's appointment or another reason, please request permission in advance by emailing:
