Hello Families!
We are still smiling thinking about all the fun we had together last week. Seeing the children explore, play, and share so many bright moments truly warms our hearts. We are incredibly grateful for our wonderful playgroup community and love each and every one of our families. Thank you for bringing so much joy, energy, and connection to our group every single week.😃
As we settle into these cozier days, we have plenty of exciting activities planned for the weeks ahead. Read on to see what we are diving into this week, along with a few important reminders for the upcoming days.

Happening this week!
Please join us after playgroup on Tuesday for our first FAC meeting! We want you to have a voice in the programming we offer. We will talk about future workshops, fieldtrips, events. It's a great way for you to share feedback so we can enhance our programming to fit your community's needs. 😃
A peek into October!
A Peek into Playgroup
Are you wondering how you get invited to Milburn's in October?
Below you will find the link to complete your child's ASQ (Ages & Stages Questionnaire). This requirement comes from the Maryland State Department of Education. All families that participate with the Judy Center are asked to complete the questionnaire. The nice part is it's quick & easy. It only takes 5-10 minutes!
Our Meerkat Market is Open!
Located to the left of the front entrance. The Market is free & always available!
Stocked with food, hygiene items, books, clothing, & school supplies.

Ready for School? 🎓
Practicing separation before school helps children build confidence and reduces anxiety through small, predictable steps
Practical Ways to Build Separation Confidence
Start with short separations: Leave your child with a trusted family member or babysitter for brief periods in a low-stress environment to build trust.
Create a goodbye ritual: Design a quick, consistent routine like a hug followed by a high-five or a special handshake to signal departure clearly.
Use transitional objects: Give your child a small, comforting item to keep in their pocket or backpack, such as a family photo or a matching bracelet.
Do a practice run: Walk or drive to the school building ahead of time so your child can see what the drop-off area looks like.
