Thank you, families

Liberty Bell Families,

Welcome to November! In the spirit of gratitude, I want to recognize our students, staff and volunteers for supporting a host of incredible opportunities in the past week:
-We had a successful and very well attended JH Dance Friday night; thank you chaperones!
-Teachers coordinated an incredible, immersive cultural opportunity for all 7th graders at the Colville Reservation on Friday
-Thank you Beth Anderson and Amy Fitkin for opening postsecondary doors for 28 students who toured three different college campuses

-Our National Honor Society for kicking off our first Open Mic Friday in the Commons

This Friday, November 6th begins Fall Conferences. Parent-Teacher Conferences are an opportunity for families, students, and teachers to connect, celebrate successes, discuss progress, identify areas for growth, and work collaboratively to plan. At the junior high and high school levels, the goal is to leave conferences with a shared understanding of how students are doing, what they need, and how we can work together to support their continued growth. Conferences are scheduled by the parent, in Skyward, with the teacher they choose to meet with. If a group conference is preferred, please reach out to your child’s advisor for support with scheduling.

In partnership,

Elyse Darwood

Tutoring at LBHS

Students may seek extra support through our tutoring program. We have robust peer tutoring at the high school, which entails older students working with younger ones, and also some community volunteer tutors who come to the school to work with Middle School and High School students. We do our best to fulfill tutoring requests, although demand can be high at times and the pool of tutors is limited. You may contact tutor coordinator Paul Gitchos at pgitchos@methow.org if you have questions about tutoring for your student, or if you're interested in volunteering as a tutor.
