One of the items WASD would like parents to be aware of is the possible upcoming boundary changes. With the new Lake Hazel Elementary School scheduled to open next fall, the Long Range Planning Committee is currently developing boundary proposals for schools in the southern part of our district (i.e. Lake Hazel Middle). They expect to share the first of at least three proposals with our community by mid-November. Your voice will be an important part of this process. Families and community members will have opportunities to review each proposal, participate in surveys, and share feedback before the Board makes final decisions in 2027.
GroupMe
Has your student ever come home and told you about something at school, but had zero details?
"Hey mom, there's a dance sometime next month...maybe..."
JOIN US ON GROUPME!
This is the place to ask those questions!
"Does anyone have details on the upcoming dance?"
"Have we heard when Picture Day is?"
"Can you remind me how to order a yearbook?"
"Is there really zero homework for my 7th Grader's Math class?"
We've got you covered!

***This GroupMe was created by the PTSO as a way for parents of current LHMS students to communicate and is not affiliated with any LHMS staff :)
