Prairie Families,

As a friendly reminder, Friday, August 30th will be our first Late Start Friday of the school year.

To accommodate this schedule, doors will open at 8:55 AM (40 minutes later than Monday-Thursday) and students will begin school at 9:10 AM (40 minutes later than Monday-Thursday school days). We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we adjust to this new routine.

Thank you to those who were able to attend our parent night on Tuesday. We had a wonderful time connecting with you and discussing the upcoming school year.

Enjoy the three-day weekend celebrating Labor Day! We look forward to seeing you back on Tuesday, September 3rd.

If your little pirate rides the school bus to or from school, we ask for someone to be at the bus stop to see them get on and off the bus. Student safety is a priority!

School Hours:

• Mondays-Thursdays: School starts at 8:30 AM and ends at 3:40 PM.
• Fridays: School starts at 9:10 AM and ends at 3:40 PM.

• If you arrive after morning arrival supervision (8:30): Please park your vehicle and walk your child inside to the office.
• Teachers' duty day is over at 3:55. If you arrive after the dismissal supervising adults have come inside (3:55): Please park and come inside to get your child from the office.

As we navigate Car Rider traffic, we have reached out to adjust some car lane traffic. Please follow this map below, unless Mrs. Kelsey or your child's teacher has reached out to you personally. Thank you for helping us make dismissal efficient!

Please be aware, if your child wears a smartwatch to school, they will be asked to put it in their backpack for the entire school day. Smart watches and cell phones are not to be out by any elementary student for the duration of the school day. Details regarding this policy is in the Piper Pre K - 5 Student Handbook. Thank you for your understanding.
