October PBIS Assembly October PBIS Assembly

This was a special assembly as Mrs. Reger, superintendent, presented our school with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Certificate of Excellence in recognition of our successful implementation of Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support! This award is all due to our staff and student's determination to be respectful, responsible and safe. Our school community put in hard work to make this happen and we are proud to receive this award.

We also celebrated meeting our attendance and behavior goal with 93.5% average attendance in October and a 10% reduction in office discipline referrals compared to last year! We recognized our students of the month and our staff member of the month and played a hula hoop race game - the cross county team members won!

October Students of the Month October Students of the Month

Principal Advisory Committee Principal Advisory Committee

Our Principal Advisory Committee (PAC) met in October with Dr. VanDelft where they looked at behavior data, set goals and decided that a reminder presentation on our expectation of keeping cell phones/personal electronic devices put away is needed. Our PAC members will give this presentation during their advisory class soon and they will also be gathering student feedback for ideas on incentives/rewards for STAR math/reading, house points quarter champions, etc.
