New Semester--New Opportunities

Dear CRMS Families,

As we step into the second semester, it's the perfect time to refocus and recommit to our students' success. At CRMS, we remain dedicated to ensuring every student reaches their full potential. This semester, we’ll continue analyzing student data to identify areas where more support is needed, implementing additional Tier 2 interventions, and, we hope, offering tutoring opportunities to provide targeted assistance.

We know that transitioning from the first semester to the second can feel like a fresh start, but it also comes with challenges. Here are a few easy ways to help your middle schooler make the most of this opportunity:

  1. Set New Goals Together: Talk with your student about what they’d like to achieve this semester, whether it’s improving grades, getting more organized, or joining a new activity.

  2. Review and Reset Routines: A consistent homework schedule that consists of reading or reviewing classwork and notes can work wonders. Check that their routines are still effective and make adjustments if needed.

  3. Stay Informed: Review the Powerschool Parent Portal regularly to monitor grades and assignments. Reach out to teachers if you have any questions or concerns.

  4. Encourage Positive Habits: From getting enough sleep to practicing self-advocacy by asking for help when needed, small habits can make a big difference in a student's confidence and progress.

Thank you for your continued support. Let’s make this second semester one to celebrate!

Take Care. Be Well.
