Ram Page

Congratulations to our football team and coaches on a great win last Saturday. The Rams defeated the Simla Cubs 48-27 to secure their ticket to the State Championship game on Friday, November 29th at 5 o'clock in Pueblo. The game will be played at Dutch Clark Stadium.

Good luck Rams, LEAVE NOTHING!!

On Monday, the 4th grade class presented their annual Thanksgiving Balloon Parade. The students just finished a unit study on the book "Balloons Over Broadway", which led to them to create a balloon character based off a book that they are reading. Students then prepared an invitation about the parade to invite students and staff, a sequencing of events, character trait analysis and a STEM packet while designing their balloon.

Ms. Hocheder's Archeology class took a field trip last week to learn about tipi rings and see how Natives would have lived and why they would have chosen that spot to camp. Students are learning how to conduct field surveys as an archaeologist.

Akron hosted its annual Denise Pickens Knowledge Bowl on Friday, November 22nd. This year we had 24 high school teams and 21 middle school teams participate, which is an increase from past years. The high school winners were Prairie High School and Peetz A claimed the middle school trophy.

Thanks to all coaches, staff and students who help make this event a success.

Last Thursday, the middle school Rams hosted Wiggins for their first home game of the season. The Rams played hard and ended up beating the Tigers at all three levels.

The boys will be back on the court on Monday, December 2nd against Merino and share the court with the middle school lady rams against Prairie on December 5th.
