4th Week of School
Principal Batten's Weekly Message
Good evening V3A students, families, and staff. I hope that you enjoyed this beautiful weekend. We have a busy week ahead with our 6th-8th graders taking their Beginning of the Year (BOY) iReady assessments during their ELA and Math classes. One theme for this year is to be more connected socially, and so students & staff will be participating in the Start With Hello Week to help students build connections, prevent social isolation, and create safe, more inclusive schools. Each day has a connection theme and I'm looking forward to hearing from student's experiences during this special week. Students also should be on the look out for a survey tomorrow about student clubs for the 2025-26 school year.
We have nearly resolved all technology access and scheduling issues. Students who are still experiencing technology problems or you are unsure of an assignment should contact their teacher. Any scheduling issues should be directed at Dr. Batten (jbatten@vcs.k12.nc.us). If you are having problems with your laptop or charger, please contact our virtual learning support person Tiffany Branch (252-506-7172)

VCHS Dance Group!
Hello students!
I am Ms. Campbell, and I’m thrilled to invite 10 enthusiastic female dancers to join our school's Dance Group! If you have a passion for dance and love to perform, this is your chance to shine. Our Dance Group celebrates a variety of styles, including praise dance, modern contemporary, hip hop, K-pop, and Hispanic dance. The group is aimed at giving you the chance to dance at competitions and special events. Currently two members of our group have sent in their audition video to compete in the TRIANGLE'S GOT TALENT show. Last year, we launched the group and had an incredible spring show at the Wayne Adcock Theater, showcasing our hard work and talent. It was a fantastic experience, and I can’t wait for us to create more unforgettable moments together!
If you’re disciplined and ready to take your dancing to the next level, please reply to this email, and I’ll get back to you.
Let’s make this year even more spectacular!
