Ott's Outlook
October 2025
I continue to see great things happening across Temple ISD. Our teachers are motivating and encouraging their students who are engaged and focused on learning. I am currently meeting with “New to Temple” teachers on an individual basis and could not be prouder of our new hires. Our extra-curricular activities are in full swing and off to successful starts to the year and our campuses, departments, and staff members are being recognized across Central Texas and the state for their hard work and excellence.
As we move into October, we are also moving closer to Election Day. As most of you know, there will be two propositions on the ballot directly impacting Temple ISD. Those propositions will appear on the ballot as Proposition A and Proposition B.
Proposition A would generate $2.75 million and focuses on Safety/Security in the district. Proposition B addresses Seats in the district to accommodate growth and is asking for $119.7 million. As a reminder, these propositions were developed by parents, taxpayers, residents, and community stakeholders.
The school district’s role leading into the election is to provide factual information about the propositions and their impact so that voters can make an informed decision when they go to the polls. Temple ISD has shared information through a number of community presentations. You can also find more information at the following link: www.tisd.org/Election2025. The district will also continue to share information through social media, emails, text messages, and mail outs.
And while I cannot tell you how to vote, I can encourage you to exercise your right to vote and have your voice heard. The deadline to register to vote is fast approaching on October 6th. Early voting for the November election will run from October 20-31st. The Temple ISD Administration Building is one of several early voting sites across Bell County. Election Day is November 4th, and the polls will be open from 7:00 am-7:00 pm that day. Both the Temple ISD Administration Building and Meridith-Dunbar Early Childhood Academy will serve as polling sites on Election Day. You can find the list of locations here: Polling Sites Bell County Elections 11.04.2025.pdf
Voter turnout for non-Presidential elections is typically less than 10%. Every vote matters, so let your voice be heard.
We are so grateful for the partnership of our families, community partners, business leaders, and other community stakeholders. We all work together to provide the best for our students and staff, and we appreciate your support of Temple ISD.
Sincerely,
Bobby Ott
