Dear Families,

We made it to the finish line! As the final bells ring and the classrooms are packed away, I want to take a moment to look back on an incredible school year. Our students have grown so much: academically, socially, and emotionally. Seeing their hard work, resilience, and kindness every day has been a great highlight of my year!

Thank you for your unwavering partnership, your trust, and your support of the Lincoln community. We truly could not do this without you!

📚 Summer Learning: Reading & Math Challenges

To help keep our brains sharp and prevent the "summer slide," our reading specialists and math teams have put together some fun, optional summer activities!

  • Summer Reading Tracker: Please keep an eye on your child’s final folder for our summer reading challenge packet. Reading just 15–20 minutes a day keeps vocabulary and comprehension strong!

  • Daily Math Minutes: We are also sending home a summer math grid filled with quick, real-world math games and activities. Practice those math facts while cooking, shopping, camping or playing outside!

Students who complete and return their summer learning packets in August will receive a special reward when we return to school. Let's keep that learning momentum going!

🎒 Office Hours & Looking Ahead

Our school office will be operating on summer hours beginning the week of June 1. If you need assistance or have questions over the break, the office will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Keep an eye on your email in late summer for important information regarding the 2026-2027 school year, including class placements, supply lists, bus routes, and Back to School nights.

☀️ Wishing You a Safe and Happy Summer!🏖️

Whether you are traveling, visiting the pool, or just enjoying slower mornings and extra time together, I wish all of our families a safe, restful, and joyful summer break.

To our departing 5th graders: We are so proud of you and wish you the absolute best as you move on to GAMS. You will always be a part of the Lincoln family! To our returning students: We can’t wait to see how much you’ve grown when we welcome you back in August.

Have a safe and wonderful summer!

Kathy Schiefer, Ed. D.
