Our young artists at CWCKC were invited to display their work at Show Me KC Schools again this winter! Artwork from each grade level will be on display for the months of December and January. Join us for the opening reception this Friday, December 5th, from 6-7:30 pm at the Show Me KC School's office (2201 Lexington Avenue, Kansas City, MO, 64124) or stop by during their hours of operation. Ms. Clark will also be reaching out to notify families if your student has artwork on display, but of course all are invited to celebrate together!

As the semester comes to a close 6th-8th grade students will be provided with two opportunities during the last hour of the day. During that time:

1. Students who are passing all classes and who do not need to turn in missing assignments will have the opportunity to participate in Fun Friday activities such as a game room, dance party/karaoke, and outdoor fun (weather permitting). Students can bring personal gaming devices, but all games must be age and school appropriate, and students are responsible for keeping their property safe.

2. Students who still need time to turn in missing assignments will be provided time to finish and turn in those assignments so that they can head into the end of the quarter stress free.

Donations appreciated: If you are able, we would deeply appreciate donations of any sweet treats (prepackaged candy, cookies, cupcakes, etc.). The school will be providing some treats, but we are welcoming families to contribute as well. You can drop off donations at the front desk anytime before Friday afternoon morning or send them with your student to drop off in Mr. Butler's office.

All families are invited to join us for a 4th grade music program on Wednesday, December 17th at 10:15 am! Please reach out to Ms. Scott with any questions!

Here are some highlights from the November meeting of the Board of Directors:

• The board unanimously voted to approve the non-renewal agreement with CWCS National. For more information on this vote, please view the letter sent out to families before the vote.
• The board discussed this year's Annual Performance Report (APR), highlighting both our high growth scores and areas that we'd like to see improvement.
• Ms. Lineberry gave an overview of the beginning of the 2026-2027 enrollment season.
• Our finances are in great shape. We are on track to end the year as budgeted or better than budgeted.
• Our charter renewal is coming up in February. We invite all community members to join us for the public hearing on February 19th, 5:30-6:30 pm.
