The 2024-2025 Chute Boys Varsity Eagles Basketball Team Finished Undefeated with 8-0 Record and District 65 Season Champions
The Chute Boys Varsity Eagles Basketball team has capped off an extraordinary season, finishing with a perfect 8-0 record Led By: Head Coach, Mr. Shannon and Assistant Coach Mr. Shed. Their success wasn’t just about raw talent, but the relentless team play and the unwavering “never give up” mentality that defined every game.
Throughout the season, Chute’s basketball squad displayed exceptional teamwork, with players working in unison to create seamless offensive and defensive plays. Whether it was a perfectly executed fast break or a well-timed defensive stop, the boys demonstrated an understanding that individual glory was secondary to the success of the team.
What set this group apart was their resilience. In each game, regardless of the score, the Chute Boys Varsity team never let up. Even when facing adversity, they maintained focus, determination, and belief in one another. This collective mindset pushed them to make clutch plays in critical moments, securing their place as an undefeated team.
The perfect record is a testament to their commitment to each other and their refusal to back down. The season may be over, but the legacy of this team’s teamwork, perseverance, and spirit will last. This team has become Legendary, joining other Chute Varsity teams with undefeated records.

Evanston Renters Coming Together
You are invited to an upcoming Tenant rights community event, Evanston Renters Coming Together on March 13th at 6.30pm. This community gathering will educate renters on their increased rights and build momentum to further the cause of housing security for the 43% of Evanstonians who rent.
Evanston renters have increased rights!
Almost half of our neighbors in Evanston are renters and this past summer they gained increased protections when the local landlord tenant ordinance was improved as a result of community effort. We know many of our staff, participants, and supporters are renters in Evanston and we want to ensure they know about their increased protections. Moran Center is partnering with other community organizations to invite renters to learn about their increased protections and discuss ways we can continue to improve the landlord tenant ordinance. Being a renter is hard right now for many of our neighbors and we want to do what we can to make it easier to live and stay in Evanston! Join us! Here are the details:
- Evanston Renters Coming Together
- Thursday, March 13, 2025
- 6:00-7:30pm
- @ YWCA Evanston/North Shore, 1215 Church Street
Free parking, childcare, light snacks, Spanish translation, and ADA accessibility.
Please register in advance using the attached flyers, in Spanish and English, or at this link: bit.ly/evanstonrenters2025
