Hello Lutherville families,

It's been another full week at the Lab! And the week's events aren't over -- please remember the PTA's fundraiser at RISE on Saturday! Just mention Lutherville Lab when you visit between 7am and 2pm and the PTA will receive 20% of profits. A flyer is attached, but it is not necessary to bring with you.

Please note that Mrs. Kiewe's announced our next Spirit Day for Friday, December 17th as Flannel Friday! If your child is interested, please send them to school rocking some flannel on Friday!

COVID positive rates are on the rise throughout Baltimore County. If your child is sick or you are concerned about a possible exposure, please consult with Nurse Vita before sending your child into school. Please note that all Baltimore County Public Libraries are giving out free home testing kits this Saturday. Additionally, vaccination information is available in an attachment to this newsletter.

This week MAP Assessment Home Reports went home with 1st through 5th grade students. This is a baseline assessment that we will use to measure growth in math and reading during the course of the year. There is some explanation about the assessment on the back of the home report.

Additionally, Mrs. Hart and I want to share a little more information about the assessment during Coffee with Administrators on Wednesday December 15th at 10:00am using the Google Meet Code "LLabAdmin." We'll also welcome open conversation beyond this assessment. Based on the conversation on Wednesday, I will send additional MAP information and resources in next week's Lab Report based on our conversation and for those who cannot attend.

Check out the Lutherville Lab Spirit Store which is restocked for the holiday season! A portion of proceeds from each sale will support the PTA.

If your child has lost an article of clothing or water bottle -- it may have been found. And it could be waiting for them in our Lost & Found in the cafeteria. Please encourage them to check this when they come to lunch or encourage them to work with their teacher to come and check.

Our collection for Kids Helping Hopkins has concluded, but we are still collecting for Mrs. Kiewe's Mitten Tree!

Mitten Tree: We're collecting new mittens, hats, gloves, and scarves to donate to an area shelter. Collecting will conclude 12/17
