Mrs. Mader's Message Mrs. Mader's Message

Hello families,

It has been another wonderful week at Westside! This week I got to hear about the School Forest field trip from kindergarteners, see 2nd graders invent a new game at recess, and spend time checking in with students as they read books during Independent Daily Reading. Today is Character Crews! Make sure to ask your child about a new connection they made during this time, or what they discussed around Responsibility.

There are 2 upcoming drives I wanted to highlight that help support our local community. The Diaper Drive begins Monday, 10/26 and runs through 11/6. If we collect 6,000 diapers, a student will get to pie Mrs. Mader in the face! For every 500 diapers we collect, a student will get to pie one of our fabulous Westside staff members. We are also pairing with the RFHS National Honor Society to collect used coats during conferences. See more information below!

We are so excited to see everyone tonight at Trunk or Treat from 6-7:30pm 🎃 . We are going to try and play the Brewer game for those interested in watching as the Brewers work to win the World Series!

Have a wonderful weekend!

With kindness,

Rachel Mader
