Attendance
Currently our school attendance levels are falling short of where they should be. We are continuing to get a huge amount of holiday absences as well as the normal winter illness. Please remember how important school attendance is. A big well done to all of our pupils who have been in school every day this week.
This week's school attendance is: 94.9%.
This year's attendance to date is 95.4%.
Early Years & KS1 class of the week is 1W with 97.9%.
KS2 classes of the week is 3B with 98.8%.
A reminder that, as a school, we are aiming for no less than 96% attendance.
School holiday dates
School holiday dates for 2026-2027 are now on the website. We have once again managed to give 2 weeks in the May/June holidays in the hope that the extra week can be used to take advantage of cheaper holidays.
Below are the links to both this year's and next year's holidays and also the new leave of absence request form.
Shipley Showcase
Thank you to everyone who visited our Shipley Showcase yesterday. The children worked really hard on their local Geography fieldwork studies and have learnt so much about the local area. A big thank you to Mrs Horne, our Geography leader, who organised the event.
Even Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe and Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw visited.

Welcome to Low Ash Mabel!
There has been much excitement this week with the introduction of Mabel to school life. She is settling in well and has had the opportunity to meet a number of pupils. We will be planning small group visits for all pupils to visit Mabel over the coming weeks.
Mabel even had a sneaky visit after the school disco!

School Disco
We hope pupils enjoyed the school disco last night. There was a lovely atmosphere in school. Thank you to Friends of Low Ash (FOLA) for organising the event.
School Book Fair
A reminder that the school book fair will be taking place next week. You will be able to visit with your children after school on both Wednesday and Thursday.
Parent/Carer Governor Vacancy
Hopefully you have seen the school ping which advertised for a new Parent/Carer school governor. This is a really important role as governors help to shape the strategic direction of the school. If you feel you would be a good candidate, please nominate yourself or, if you would like to nominate anyone else, please just check with them first! Below, you will find the details which were sent out earlier in the week.
