5Essentials Parent Survey

We are currently sitting around an 8% completion rate for our Parent 5Essential Survey. There is still time to lend your valuable voice to this survey by taking a few moments to complete it. Please fill it out at your earliest convenience.

The Illinois 5Essentials Survey for students and teachers will be conducted February 3 - March 13, 2026. The Parent Survey Supplement will be conducted during that same period. To take the survey please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select the appropriate survey to begin.

Dance Rules

We are excited to have the dance this afternoon from 4:30-6:30pm. Please review these rules that were shared with students. We want everyone to have fun and be safe, as well!

Join us at BPAC, March 12th

We will be presenting about the U.S. Educational system and standardized test scores, amongst other topics. March 12th, 6-7pm at District Offices.

Period or Block Schedules?

After the 2021-2022 school year, Harvard Junior High surveyed parents, students and staff about a new schedule. As a result of that survey, we came up with our current Block scheduling system. Students attend on a "period schedule" on Monday and attend all classes, periods 1-8. Then on Tuesday and Thursdays, they attend periods 1-4 and periods 5-8 on Wednesday and Friday.

Five years later, the time has come to reflect and gather everyone's voices again. This week, students and staff will be giving their feedback. Please take the time as a parent or family member to answer the survey below.

Pre-ACT Rising Stars!

Congratulations to our 8th grade class! Over 50 students have been identified as "Early Scholars" by placing in the top 50% nationally on the Pre-ACT 8/9.

Additionally, we had three students identified as "Rising Scholars" by placing in the top 3-10% and one student identified as a "Distinguished Scholar" in the top 3%.

Way to go, Hornets!
