HHS Choir Monthly Updates
Summer 2026
Cliché as it might be, I sincerely cannot believe this year is already coming to a close. I want to thank everybody for a truly amazing year. I definitely threw a lot at you and you met & exceeded the bar each time. I'm incredibly proud of you all and I thank you for signing up for Choir. I cannot wait to continue to build on this year with those of you returning next year. For those that are not returning, please know that our doors are always open whenever you are ready to come back!
I'd also like to thank all of the students and parents who chipped in to give me such a thoughtful and inspiring gift. I genuinely feel blessed beyond belief to work in such a thoughtful district like Hudson; I don't know what I've done to deserve this. Thank you so so so much. In case you didn't get a chance to see it, I'll put a picture below.
I hope everyone has an amazing and relaxing summer vacation. To our graduates, best of luck in your next chapter. Please keep in touch!
Our 2026-27 Dates
Please make sure these dates are on your calendars!
All concerts are graded, summative events for choir students. If there are conflicts, they need to be discussed as soon as possible. This will allow us to try and find a way for students to be able to do both, however, if that's not the case, students must make it to the concert.
Congrats to Our 26-27 Choir Officers
Since there was no one that chose to run for the Secretary position for the 26-27 school year, those Officer responsibilities will be divided up amongst the rest of the officer team
Choir Contact Form
All new and returning members of the HHS Choir during the 2026-2027 school year are asked to fill out this Google Form. Students & Parents, if there is a different email address you would like us to use to get information to you, please enter it in the Google Form, otherwise we will use the one that is on record for the school through Final Forms. Students please be sure to include your t-shirt size for the 2026-2027 Choir t-shirts.
Choir Photos
If you have any pictures, we would love to see them. Please upload them to this Google Drive Folder for all of the choirs to be able to see! We would like to give a huge thanks to Phil Burling for all the incredible photos he captured this school year. Thank you!!!

Choir Spirit Wear
RDP will once again be offering Choir Spirit Wear. You have until July 26th to order your spirit wear. You can have it sent directly to your house or ship it straight to the HS and pick it up on our Choir Picnic/Uniform Fitting Day on Wednesday August 12th
Choir Uniform Fittings & Picnic
August 12th | 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Students will get to meet upperclassmen and be fitted for their Men’s/Women’s Choir uniform. Students will also be able to pick up any choir Spirit Wear ordered as well as their 2026-2027 Choir t-shirt. Uniform information (contracts and fees) is attached below as well as on our Choir website.
What to bring for the picnic will be going out by email at the beginning of August.
In order for students to take their uniform home with them, they will need to have their signed contract and the uniform fee turned in for 2026/27. The links for the contract and online Google form are below. Please note that you will be prompted to pay online after submitting the form - please click on the link on the validation message to submit your payment.
This school year we will not ask students to sign up for specific time slots. Returning members can come at any time unless they need to change their uniform size in which case we ask that they come during the last hour for a fitting as the first few hours will be reserved for new members in priority.
Tag Day | August 22nd from 8:45 AM - 12:00 PM
Tag Day is MANDATORY for all Hudson High School music students.
For those unfamiliar with this day, students will be taken around different neighborhoods in Hudson by parent volunteers where they will head door to door to pass out "tags" with our concert dates and ask them for any donations to the program
- Tag Day is a HHSMA fundraiser that all students in Band, Orchestra, & Choir participate in to help raise money for the music programs
- On 8/22, students should report to the choir room at 8:45 AM while parent volunteers should head to the HHS Commons for last minute details and directions. The day will end by noon, perhaps even earlier
- To pull this off we NEED 100 adult volunteers to drive students to Hudson City School District neighborhoods and participate in our most important fundraiser for the Hudson High School Music Association.
- We ask that all students participate. The more students that are involved, the more money that is dispersed to the choir program. If the choir is not well represented on Tag Day, then we do not receive as many funds as we would should all attend
- This fundraiser supports ALL of the High School Music programs. Mark your calendars and look for a driver sign up to be sent later this summer. Email choirvp.hhsma@gmail.com with any questions.
Chamber Choir Italy Meetings
5/26 @ 6:30 PM in HS Choir Room
6/2 from 6:30 PM - 7:3O PM | Med Drop-Off
All Chamber Choir members that are going to Italy with the group need to attend two meetings on. We will be going over safety procedures, packing lists, behavioral expectations, as well as going through an Italy lesson with my mother, Mary, to get you ready for the basics of traveling in Italy
Tuesday June 2nd will be Medication Drop-Off for any student that is not self-carrying their medication or having their parent administer on the trip. All students, regardless of medication status, need to submit an emergency medical form by June 2nd at the latest.
