Each month, we recognize our campus strengths and highlight areas for growth. This serves as an excellent opportunity for families to stay informed about ongoing activities and developments at Jackson. Additionally, Jackson implements PBIS as a framework to support students in developing into lifelong citizens who are prepared to engage positively with both society and life. We also take time to celebrate the achievements of our students and staff.

We are excited to announce that the FREE Releve Dance After-School Program is returning to Jackson Elementary! 🎉

The program is open to all students in PreK–5th grade. Students will have the opportunity to learn, move, and have fun while developing their dance skills!

📅 Program Schedule

• PreK–2nd Grade: Mondays, 3:00–4:00 PM
• 3rd–5th Grade: Wednesdays, 3:00–4:00 PM

🚗 Important Pickup Information

Students must be picked up promptly at 4:00 PM. Parents/guardians are responsible for arranging transportation and pickup. Please note: Late pickups may result in removal from the program.

⭐ Limited Spots Available!

Registration is first come, first served! The program is limited to:

• 20 students for Monday Sessions (PreK–2nd Grade)

• 20 students for Wednesday Sessions (3rd–5th Grade)

Once all spots are filled, additional students will be placed on a waitlist.

📅 Registration Deadline: September 8th

Families will be notified of their student’s enrollment status by Sept. 11th.

💃 Dance classes begin September 14th!

Hard to believe we’re already wrapping up the month of August! While it still feels like peak summer with those 100-degree days, our routines are getting back in full swing, and your Jackson PTA is already hard at work funding field trips and planning exciting programs for the year ahead.

• 👋 Dudes at the Door

  • When: Tuesday, September 1 | 7:00 AM – 7:40 AM

  • Details: Calling all dads, granddads, uncles, big brothers, and male role models! Help us welcome students with high-fives and smiles in the carpool line on the first school day of every month. Sign up here if you can join us!

  • Note: Must be Voly approved. Head over to plano.voly.org to get signed up! (Must be completed every school year).

• 🍔 Spirit Night – Edmund’s Burgers & More

  • When: Wednesday, September 2 | 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM (All Day)

  • Where: 2919 W. 15th St., Plano, TX 75067

  • Details: Get a burger for lunch or dinner! Mention you’re with Jackson, and a portion of your purchase goes directly back to our school. Support a small business in our community and show your Jackson pride!

• 🎭 Drama Kids

  • When: Tuesdays starting Sept 8 | 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Details: Drama Kids starts Tuesday, 9/8. Sign up today to reserve your spot! Classes meet right here at Jackson. Register online or see the flyer for more information.
