Principal's Message
Eyes Up: Staying Focused for Quarter 4
We are off to a great start in Quarter 4! This first week brought strong energy, focus, and determination across campus, and it is exciting to see so many of you continuing to push yourselves forward. This is exactly what “Eyes Up” looks like—staying focused on your goals and finishing what you started.
As we move ahead, we are gearing up for state and national testing. This is your opportunity to show how much you have grown this year. Keep your "Eyes Up"—stay confident, prepared, and focused. Trust in the work you have put in and give your very best effort.
With just eight weeks remaining, this final stretch is critical. Every assignment, every class period, and every effort matters. Whether you are working to raise your grades, meet personal goals, or prepare for graduation and next year, now is the time to stay locked in and finish strong.
Last, I want to extend a sincere thank you to the parents and guardians who recently completed our Title I Parent Survey. Your feedback is invaluable. Our Site Council has already reviewed the initial results and will continue analyzing the data over the coming weeks to help identify our priority areas for improvement next year. Your voice directly shapes the work we do, and we are grateful for your partnership.
Let’s continue to support one another, stay motivated, and keep our "Eyes Up" as we close out another great year at St. Johns High School.
With Gratitude,
Mrs. Mo

Growing Together: Spring Into Success!
It’s hard to believe we’ve already been back for a full week since Spring Break. Seeing the hallways buzzing with energy again has been the best part of the season so far. As the flowers begin to bud outside, we are focused on a different kind of growth inside our classrooms: academic blooming.
The Connection: Attendance & Growth
Spring is a critical "growth spurt" season for students. This is the time of year when previous lessons start to click, and new, more complex concepts are introduced. However, just like a garden needs consistent water and sunlight to thrive, students need consistent attendance to see their hard work blossom.
Sequential Learning: Missing just one or two days can create gaps in "scaffolded" subjects like Math and Reading, where today’s lesson is the foundation for tomorrow's learning.
Confidence Building: Being present every day allows students to participate in hands-on projects and group discussions, which are the "nutrients" that build academic confidence.
Finishing Strong: The habits we cultivate in March and April set the stage for a successful transition into the next grade level.
Staying Rooted in Success
We know that the "Spring Slump" can be real as the weather gets nicer, but let’s keep up the momentum! Every day your student is in their seat, they are taking a step toward reaching their full potential.
How you can help them "bloom":
Keep the Routine: Maintain consistent bedtimes to help them stay energized for the school day.
Schedule Wisely: Whenever possible, try to schedule appointments during non-school hours.
Celebrate the Streak: Acknowledge your child’s effort in getting to school on time every day.
Growth Mindset: "Success isn't just about showing up once; it's about showing up consistently, so you don't miss the moment everything clicks."
Let’s make this spring our most productive season yet. We are so glad to have our "garden" full again!
Parents/Guardians/Community Members: If you would like to help or donate rewards to our students for good or improved attendance, please fill out the form below.
