Weekly Update

From the Principal

Dear Aquin Families,

By now you are aware that the Diocese has decided that the school will be closing at the end of the school year. It is not the decision that we hoped for, but it is now our reality. I want you to know that the faculty and staff have loved being a part of your family's journey. We will treasure the relationships we have built, and we trust that God will lead you where you are supposed to go. Please pray for us as well as we start new chapters.

Being the last week of school does not leave us much time to say goodbye to over 100 years of Aquin, but we do have a few special things planned for the kids to mark the end of the school year. We hope that you will join us if you can for our final Ice Cream Social on Friday.

Students will be doing fun activities in the gym starting at 10 AM, but we will begin serving ice cream at 10:30. Families are welcome to join us starting at 10:55 AM. We will have our activities available until 12 Noon for parents and families that wish to stay and play. Please note that school staff will not be supervising activities after 10:55, so an adult must accompany any children that stay after school hours are over.

Upcoming Dates

May 25 - NO SCHOOL - Memorial Day
May 27 - Krape Park Day (meet at the park at 9 AM, pick up at the park at 12:30 PM)
May 28 - 8th Grade Graduation at 11:30 AM during last all school Mass
May 29 - Last Day of school - dismissal at 10:55 AM; Ice Cream Social - families welcome
