Do you need bus transportation services?
Please read the following:
Dear Pioneer Families,
As we gear up for another wonderful school year, I wanted to share a few important updates and reminders about student transportation.
We’ve recently implemented a new routing software here at the District, which allows us to begin planning routes earlier in the summer. You may have already received an email from us labeled "Transportation Request." If you haven’t yet completed it, please take a few moments to do so. This helps us tremendously in building accurate and efficient routes. If you have received that email again after already filling it out you can disregard unless there are changes that need to be made.
A few key things to note:
The address you submit on the request must match the address listed in your student’s Skyward account.
We understand that some students have unique transportation needs, such as multiple addresses or special drop-off/pick-up instructions. The current request form does not support those additional details, so we ask that you still complete the form, and then follow up with a phone call or email including your student’s name and any additional information our department should be aware of.
Please do not reply to the automated Transportation Request email—it is sent from a no-reply address and messages will not be received. Instead, email me directly at the address listed below, or you can find my contact information on the District website.
Looking ahead to August, once routes are finalized, you will receive another email with your student’s bus stop location and pickup/drop-off times. In addition, bus drivers will be reaching out directly to help finalize details and answer any questions.
Lastly, I want to let families know that some routes will be changing. During my first year here, I identified several routes that were not cost-effective or efficient. With that in mind, I am working to improve routing to better meet the needs of the district while keeping your families and student safety at the forefront.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns as we move closer to the start of the school year.
Respectfully,
Kim Werden
