Please take note of upcoming student and staff holidays! Friday, August 29, is a student holiday and staff workday. Monday, September 1, will be a holiday for both student and staff in observance of Labor Day. We hope you'll take this time to relax and recharge, and we will see everyone back in class on Tuesday, September 2!

The 2025-2026 school year is already off to an AMAZING start! We’ve loved seeing the smiles, the high fives, the hugs, the friends reunited and so many special moments as we kicked off this year together. This year, we’re celebrating the belief that in Aledo ISD, if you can dream it, you can do it, and we can’t wait to see our Bearcats dream big and achieve even more!

Aledo ISD is excited to introduce a new districtwide initiative for behavior standards that all of our campuses and departments now follow. You may have already heard your child talking about this as it has been rolled out districtwide throughout the first week of school.

Aledo Bearcats L.E.A.D. stands for Aledo Bearcats being Learners, Empathetic, Accountable and Dedicated. After hearing feedback from our staff that they would like consistent behavior management standards and strategies, we set to work to create this framework about a year ago with input from students, teachers, administrators and other district leaders. You will see Aledo Bearcats L.E.A.D. shared consistently throughout the district but with specific behavior expectations for places such as the gym, cafeteria, school bus, classroom and hallways.

Aledo L.E.A.D. is designed to help every Bearcat grow as a learner and leader. It includes a behavior matrix that sets clear expectations across all settings, a flow chart that ensures consistency in how we support students in managing behaviors, and a positive recognition system that celebrates the attributes we want to see as our Bearcats L.E.A.D. with character and pride.

When your child moves from one campus to another, they’ll also see the same Aledo Bearcats L.E.A.D. standards. We’d love it if you would ask your own child about Aledo Bearcats L.E.A.D. and what they have learned from it!

Bearcat Nation, this is an event you don't want to miss! Bring the family to Tim Buchanan Stadium on Friday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. to meet this year's Varsity Bearcat Football, Bearcat Dance, Cheerleading and Ladycat Volleyball teams in a fun-filled community event. Meet the teams, get autographs, load up on Bearcat merch and check out delicious food trucks this Friday!

Aledo ISD has expanded its after-school opportunities for elementary students to include more exciting learning experiences. Aledo ISD is All In on Growing Greatness by offering a variety of opportunities designed to engage, inspire and develop new skills for our elementary Bearcats.

For the 2025-2026 School Year, all Bearcats Beyond the Bell Enrichment Opportunities will be available at ALL Aledo ISD elementary schools and are for students in grades K-5!

In compliance with Texas House Bill 1481 - the Cell Phone Ban Bill - Aledo ISD students must have cell phones, smart watches, personal tablets, Bluetooth devices (including wireless headphones, earbuds and AirPods), gaming systems, personal laptops or any other personal electronic device capable of telecommunication or digital communication put away, turned off or silenced and out of sight bell to bell during the school day.

The intent behind House Bill 1481 is to limit distractions in the classroom and across campus so students can stay focused on learning.
