FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Hello Families,
What a week! Winter weather gave us an unexpected pause to start the week, and we’re grateful everyone stayed safe during the ice and snow. Although we were only together on campus for one day, our teachers made today count by reconnecting with students, reestablishing routines, and continuing important learning. Thank you for your flexibility and partnership as we navigated this unusual week. We look forward to a more typical schedule and a great week ahead as we move into February.
Arrival Safety Reminder
For the safety of all students, please do not drop students off before 7:15 a.m. Prior to this time, there is no staff on campus to supervise students. Early arrival creates safety concerns due to moving vehicles, students being unmonitored, cold weather conditions, and the potential for rough play or fighting. Supervision begins at 7:15 a.m., and we appreciate your partnership in ensuring students arrive when staff are present to keep everyone safe.
Re-enrollment Continues until January 31st
Life School re-enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year is in progress. With the 4-day school week calendar, we are experiencing increased interest in enrollment. If you have not done so already, please log in here to your Life School SchoolMint account and re-enroll your child for next year before the end of the month.
Nominate an Outstanding Teacher or Staff Member
We love celebrating our amazing teachers and staff. Is there someone you would like to shout out for demonstrating LifeLeader qualities and making a difference every day?
*Please submit your nominations by March 31st using this link: LifeLeader Nominations.

Support Life League at Life School
Life School is excited to launch Life League, (formally known as Special Olympics), an initiative supporting our Special Education department by raising both funds and awareness for inclusive athletics and student opportunities. Life League helps ensure our students of all abilities can participate, grow, and thrive through meaningful programs designed just for them.
Donate Snacks:
If you are able to donate snacks, we would greatly appreciate your support. To allow time for planning and organization, all snack donations are needed by Wednesday, February 5. Please label donations "Life League" and have them brought to the front office. Every donation—big or small—helps make this day meaningful for our students. Click here to sign up to donate snacks.
Thank you for partnering with us to support Life League!
Families can support Life League in two more ways:
Donate to directly support Special Education programs at Life School here: https://www.cognitoforms.com/LifeSchool1/LifeSchoolSpecialEducationLifeLeagueDonation2025
Purchase a Life League shirt to show school spirit while giving back : https://link.edgepilot.com/s/bd81243d/Ll0DWMB9ZUyLXzw-zJMzuQ?u=https://stores.inksoft.com/lif047

💖 February is American Heart Month!
This month is a great reminder for families to focus on heart health and healthy habits for both children and adults. The heart is a powerful organ that pumps oxygen and nutrients throughout the body—helping kids grow, learn, play, and stay active every day.
From February 16–19, in partnership with our school counselors, we will celebrate Kindness Week! During this week, we’ll explore how taking care of our feelings, building positive relationships, staying active, eating well, and managing stress all help keep our hearts healthy. Learning to care for both our minds and bodies now can benefit our hearts for years to come.
Here are ways parents can help their children build heart-healthy habits at home:
Schedule regular wellness visits and blood pressure checks
Encourage physical activity every day
Provide a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables while limiting processed foods
Promote healthy sleep and stress management
Model kindness and self-care—children learn by watching us
Together, we can support heart-healthy habits both at school and at home.
💛 Want to be kind to your body? Start by being kind to your heart! 💖

DEVELOPING LEADERS AT LSRO
Weekly I Will Statements
During morning announcements, we will focus on one LifeLeader Attribute each week and learn what we need to do to develop each attribute so that we can become effective leaders in our school and in our community. We encourage students and families to memorize these statements together and talk about how the attribute is exhibited at home, school and work. We will share the I Will statement in the weekly newsletter and on our campus Facebook page. We look forward to hearing how students are exhibiting the attributes at school and home. Click here to view all 15 LifeLeader attributes.

We invite you to partner with us by asking your child how they are demonstrating these school rules both at school and at home.
